David Cluck, PharmD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Gatton College of Pharmacy. He joined the college after completing a specialty residency in infectious diseases at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in 2011. To date, Dr. Cluck has achieved board certifications in pharmacotherapy (BCPS) and infectious diseases (BCIDP) in addition to HIV (AAHIVP). He was also designated a fellow of Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) in 2024. He holds active memberships in many national organizations including American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM), Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists (SIDP) and Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA). Moreover, he currently holds leadership positions in both the ACCP and SIDP. His research interests include antimicrobial resistance, antimicrobial stewardship, and HIV pharmacotherapy.
