Here's my short bio:
Dr. Abinash Virk is a Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and a Consultant in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Rochester, Minnesota since 1997. Currently, she serves as the physician Chair of the Mayo Clinic Enterprise Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and the Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy Program for Mayo Clinic Rochester. Previously she served as Mayo Clinic's physician co-lead for the COVID-19 Vaccine Allocation and Distribution and in other leadership roles within the ID Division. Dr. Virk has numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters related to her areas of interest, specifically antimicrobial stewardship, COVID-19 vaccines, orthopedic Infectious Diseases and travel and tropical medicine.
