Dr. Daniela Fatima de Lima Corvino is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB)1. Dr. de Lima Corvino earned her M.D. from Universidad Central de Venezuela in 2011. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia and her Infectious Diseases Fellowship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine (2018) and Infectious Diseases (2020). Since 2023, Dr. de Lima Corvino has served as the Director of Orthopedic Infectious Diseases at UAB, and since 2024, she has also directed the Complex Outpatient Antibiotic Therapy Program (CoPAT). Her major research interests include the diagnosis and management of bone and joint infections, antibiotic stewardship, outpatient antibiotic therapy, and optimizing the follow-up of patients discharged on IV or oral antibiotics. She is a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA) and the Musculoskeletal Infection Society (MSIS).
