Dr. Giana Davidson is a Professor of Surgery and Adjunct Professor of Health Services and Population Health and is the Interim Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs. Giana is a mentor to numerous post-docs and faculty and has taught research methodology courses for the American College of Surgeons, Association for Academic Surgery, and PCORI. She has received funding from AHRQ, NIH, PCORI, CMS, and the Donoghue Foundation. Her research focus is on pragmatic clinical trials and the implementation of shared decision-making tools to enhance patient-centered health outcomes. Outside of her professional pursuits, Giana can be found on the sidelines of her teen’s sporting events, muddy in her pottery studio or urban farm, or escaping to the Pacific Northwest mountains and Whidbey Island.
