Dr. Chris Nyquist serves as the Chief Epidemiology Officer at Children’s Hospital Colorado. She is a Professor of Pediatrics in the section of Infectious Disease and Epidemiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine with a secondary appointment at the Colorado School of Public Health section of Community and Behavioral Health. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society (PIDS), the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA). and a member of the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA). She currently serves as Vice President on the SHEA Board of Trustees and has served on other national leadership roles on the AAP Committee on Infectious Diseases, IDSA Leadership Development Committee, and Society for Healthcare Epidemiology (SHEA). She has been an invited expert for CDC, ACIP, HHS, USNWR, and National Academies of Sciences working groups. Her infectious disease clinical practice is based at Children’s Hospital Colorado and her research interests include healthcare epidemiology and infection control, quality and safety, health equity and pediatric infectious diseases.
