Lindsay Keegan is a Research Associate Professor in the Division of Epidemiology within the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah. Dr. Keegan's research is focused on understanding how the transmission dynamics of a disease impact control and elimination efforts. The central focus of her research is understanding how disease transmission influences control strategies and in turn, how control strategies reshape transmission dynamics. To achieve this, her lab develops and applies mathematical models to quantify transmission, evaluate the impact of control strategies, and understand the feedbacks between transmission and control. Currently she is working on using statistical and mathematical techniques to understand the how pathogens spread in healthcare facilities.
