Dr. Sarah Sansom is an assistant professor of infectious diseases at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She is also the director of infection prevention at Rush Specialty Hospital, a combined long-term acute care and acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital. She serves as a member of the SHEA publications committee and as a co-investigator with the Chicago CDC Prevention Epicenters Program. Her research focuses on the surveillance, control, and genomic epidemiology of drug-resistant organisms in healthcare facilities.
