Nicholas P. Marshall, MD, FAAP (he/him/his)

Nicholas Marshall is a Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Clinical Informatics fellow at Stanford University. He completed his pediatrics residency and chief residency at Cleveland Clinic, where he also served as a hospitalist and primary care physician.

His academic work bridges infectious diseases and data science, with a focus on stewardship and the development of decision support tools to improve clinical workflows. He is the recipient of a Stanford Maternal and Child Health Research Institute (MCHRI) grant for a machine learning-based model to guide blood culture decisions in the inpatient setting. He also serves as an informatics lead for a PCORI-funded initiative to improve outpatient antibiotic prescribing through EHR-integrated interventions.

Nicholas's interest in clinical informatics began before medical school, when he digitized a private pediatric office's medical records system. He is passionate about building smarter, integrated tools that reduce diagnostic uncertainty and enhance infectious diseases care across clinical settings.
