Dr. Michelle Chang, MD, is an infectious disease physician and second year CDC Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer assigned to the New York City Health Department's Division of Disease Control. She completed medical school at NYU, internal medicine residency and infectious disease fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia, and a postdoctoral fellowship on global HIV implementation science at ICAP. She has conducted research spanning the translational spectrum with a focus on HIV/STIs and SARS-CoV-2. Her current work involves investigating and responding to outbreaks, evaluating disease surveillance systems, and analyzing epidemiologic data to inform public health action.
