Dr. Saliba Wehbe is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Infectious Diseases at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. His research focuses on infections in immunocompromised hosts, with a particular emphasis on invasive fungal infections.
Before joining MD Anderson, Dr. Wehbe completed his fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the American University of Beirut, where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and named Fellow of the Year for 2023–2024. During his training, he founded Lebanon’s first physician-led HIV PrEP program, advancing sexual health access and public health policy in the region.
Dr. Wehbe’s academic interests lie at the intersection of clinical infectious diseases, public health, and advocacy. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications and is passionate about developing equitable models of infectious disease prevention and care for vulnerable populations.
