Dr. Opara is an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Emory University School of Medicine. He works primarily at the Grady Ponce De Leon Center in Atlanta where he provides care to persons living with HIV, and is completing his training in high resolution anoscopy. He also sees general ID consults at Grady Memorial Hospital. His growing research efforts are focused on various aspects of sexual health and HIV care among racial and sexual minority men.
