Avika Dixit, MBBS

Dr. Avika Dixit is a pediatric infectious disease physician and Director of Clinical Development, Infectious Diseases, at Moderna Therapeutics. She leads global clinical trials of mRNA-based vaccines, guiding study design, medical monitoring, and regulatory interactions with international health authorities.

Before joining Moderna, Dr. Dixit served on the faculty at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where she cared for children with complex infections and led research on tuberculosis and global child health.

Board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases, and holding dual master’s degrees in Public Health and Biomedical Informatics, Dr. Dixit is dedicated to advancing vaccines and therapeutics that strengthen global pediatric infectious disease prevention and control.
