discuss pros and cons of approaches to implementation of universal congenital CMV screening, including questions about cost-effectiveness, approaches to diagnostic evaluation, parental counseling, and risks of over-treatment of asymptomatic/clinical inapparent infections;
describe considerations regarding the potential role for preventive pharmacologic strategies for nosocomial RSV infections in infants with prolonged birth hospitalizations;
explain available data and implications for treatment of neonatal sepsis (including antibiotic choice and duration).
