  • describe current epidemiology of antibiotic prescribing, present a framework and key targets for implementing outpatient antibiotic stewardship;
  • identify currently available antibiotic prescribing quality measures and develop approaches to collect, analyze, and display data to facilitate tracking and reporting of outpatient antibiotic use;
  • discuss the implementation and improvement of antibiotic prescribing within health systems and across healthcare settings.
