Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
  • identify the common risk factors for frailty and bone health issues in people with HIV;
  • explain the pathophysiological mechanisms that lead to frailty and bone density loss in people with HIV;
  • identify the common neurocognitive and mood disorders observed in aging people with HIV;
  • demonstrate the use of assessment tools and screening methods for detecting neurocognitive and mood changes in aging HIV-positive patients.
