Sophie Katz, MD, MPH is currently an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she serves as the Medical Director of Pediatric Antimicrobial Stewardship and Fellowship Program DIrector. She attended medical school at LSU in Shreveport, Louisiana, Pediatric Residency and Chief Residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA, Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and obtained a Master’s in Public Health degree from Vanderbilt University. Her research interests include identification and implementation of novel outpatient antimicrobial stewardship interventions. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and exploring new restaurants in Nashville.
